He fell asleep holding day 7's plane
I didn't expect the box to be this big honestly. My son refuses to skip a single morning — he lines them up on the coffee table and briefs us on each "flight". Best £20 I've spent this year.
The only calendar he didn't get bored of
We've done chocolate calendars every year and by day 10 nobody cares. This one? He's building a whole dino museum on his shelf. Quality of the figurines genuinely surprised me.
Breakfast can wait, dinosaurs can't
This is our kitchen every single morning now 😂 He opens his door before he even says good morning. The box is HUGE, way bigger than I expected from the photos.
Softest little things ever
She squishes the day's surprise against her cheek every single morning — this photo is day 4. They're properly soft, no weird chemical smell, and the colours are so cute.
Really good, one tiny gripe
Four stars only because my daughter now wakes ME up at 6:45 to open the next door. The squishies are soft, no weird smell, and no duplicates so far (day 11).
Grandma-approved
Bought it for my grandson and opening a door together is now "our thing" when he visits. The little figures are detailed and chunky enough for small hands.
Vroom vroom at 7am
The hallway is now a motorway. He pushes the digger from his room to the kitchen every morning before school. Wheels actually roll properly — these aren't cheap little toys.
Shipping was faster than expected
Ordered on a Tuesday, arrived Saturday. Box came in perfect condition, doors are sturdy cardboard, not the flimsy kind. Already ordered a second one for my nephew.
Doorstep photo — look at the size!
This was him 30 seconds after the delivery driver left. I've never seen him unbox anything that fast. It's nearly as tall as he is when he kneels next to it.
Prettiest thing under our tree
She lines her squishies up under the tree after each door like little ornaments. It photographs so well — half my family has asked for the link after seeing this picture.
My highland cow herd is complete
I'm 34 and I bought this for myself. Zero regrets. The little chef cow is my favourite and they're all lined up on my desk at work. My coworkers keep asking where it's from.
Screen time is DOWN
No tablet before school anymore — he plays with his collection instead. That alone is worth 5 stars. Also mum tip: hide the box after each morning or they WILL negotiate for day 12.
We had to make a rota
Caught mid-negotiation over whose turn it is 😅 One star off because I clearly should have bought two. Odd days for him, even days for her — peace has been restored.
Perfect gift for a plane-obsessed kid
My son can name every aircraft in the box (I can't). Each one is a different model, no repeats, and the countdown makes December feel special every single day.
Dad games have evolved
Sunday evening dogfights are now a tradition in this house. Honestly it's as much for me as it is for him. Great quality little planes, paint hasn't chipped.
Sea glass gnomes are gorgeous
They catch the light on my windowsill like real sea glass. I open mine with my morning coffee — it's my little moment of calm before the house wakes up.
There's a construction site in my plant pot
Found this while watering my plants. Apparently it's a "quarry" and I'm not allowed to move anything until the job is done. Worth it for how long he plays on his own now.
Better than any chocolate calendar
Chocolate is gone in 10 seconds — these campervans are still being played with from day 1. It turned December mornings into the best part of our day.
Our little evening ritual
Every evening we "load the trailer" together before bed. It's 10 minutes of just us, no screens. Didn't expect an advent calendar to give us that, honestly the best part.
We caved and got both
Couldn't choose between dinos and planes… so with the 2-calendar discount we didn't have to. Now he alternates mornings and it's the cutest dilemma ever. Zero regrets.
